Following in Delacroix’s excellent example, my very good things for this week:
1. New dreams.
2. Unknown springs of vim to follow said dreamage.
3. Spun sugar castles and its Elphabaic counterpart, the gingerbread house <3
4. Whys and wherefores of fairy tales (Disney didn’t do justice to Cinderella’s badassness)
5. Mum’s winter-time lopsided, peacock-blue sweater, and Daddy finally giving in and turning on the heating.
6. Funny-faced toesocks.
7. Tiny pies and meringue.
8. Adventures with friends!
9. The smell of old books and creaking leather binding.
10. Deliciously incoherent baby babble-songs.
I feel a lot better now.
Seconded. It’s amazing how much time grown men take up, and always at the most inopportune moments. I mean, I’m hardly going to deny the great advantages, especially in the spider-squashing department, but I reserve the right to the beauteous and controlled-chaos-zen of my own head. Self-indulgent, petulant and counterproductive, you say? Maybe you didn’t read it properly the first time, love.
talk about priorities…first the expendables, which even van damme had the sense to stay away from, and now this. way to go out…on a bender.
